HOW TO BECOME A NATIONAL UMPIRE

Under the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme (NOAS); you have to:

Fill in an Application Form endorsed by your Club Secretary (who should have a copy).

Send it to: Secretary Zone 12 Umpires Committee, 6 Randall St., Minto 2566 with a

Cheque /Postal Note for $25.00 to cover books and other materials required.

When 6 or more candidates have applied a course will be arranged at a venue suitable to most.

The course consists of 2 hours per week for approx 10 weeks theory, plus 10 hours greens practice

A pass is 90% both in theory (open book) and greens NOTE ;if you are prepared to put in the time a pass
is not beyond anyone.

Why not get 6 candidates and have a course at your club.

The every 4 years a re-accreditation takes place, and if you have passed the original it should not be too hard to again succeed.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO KNEEL TO MEASURE.To become a Measurer only you must do the complete course.

ZONE 12 RE-ACCREDITATION COURSES 2010

Re-accreditation courses will be offered throughout the year. The dates and times will be advised at the umpires'

meetings and listed in the minutes. All clubs with an email address are sent a copy of the minutes and asked to
make them available to Unpires on request.

Each Umpire is responsible to ensure that they are up to date. Once accreditation is out of date it is lost and the
full course must be completed to regain accreditation.

Re-accreditation dates for the theory test for Zone 12 Umpires and the oral test for measurers whose certificates
expiry date is 30/06/2010 are:

12th April Cabramatta B.C. 6pm sharp.
19th April EBP Sports B.C. 6.00pm sharp.
3rd May, Birrong B.C. 6.00pm sharp.

Please notify Secretary, Jim Tattler or Chairman, Ken Tulk of your intention to attend and which one of these dates suits you.
